Julia Rietz has served as the Champaign County state’s attorney since 2004, and is currently serving her third term in office. A 1993 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, she began her legal career as a prosecutor in the State’s Attorney’s Office, prosecuting cases ranging from traffic to homicides, and focusing on child abuse and neglect. From 1999 through 2004, Julia was in private practice as a partner at Beckett & Webber in Urbana, focusing on family law.

Mix 94.5

Callie Luttman starts each day with one goal; share a smile and a laugh with as many  people as possible. She has been able to share that goal with Champaign-Urbana and its surrounding communities since 2022 as an on-air morning show host of Mix 94.5 and afternoon host of 97.9 TheVibe.

She has a passion to make space for and advocate for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. She

currently serves on the Board of Directors for Courage Connection.

When she is not waking up early to wake up the city; she arises easily to read, do yoga, or take a walk with her life partner in one of CU’s many beautiful parks. She is a cat mom of 3 beautiful cat-teenagers, who are here with her in spirit. If you look closely enough, there is definitely a cat hair on her pants.
