Community Support

The annual Be a Hero 5K is all this and more! Open to runners and walkers of all skill levels, the 5K is a perfect event for families and friends. Participants who earn “Superhero” status – by fundraising at least $100 – are given a special superhero cape they can choose to wear during the race.

• Time: 9 a.m. 
• Location: Cunningham Children’s Home, 1301 N. Cunningham Ave., Urbana, IL
• Cost $30 and includes some Cunningham swag - EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: If you register by September 15th, you will get a $5 discount!
• Proceeds support therapeutic programming for youth in care.

Several Volunteer Opportunities are available: be a course monitor during the race, cheer crew, after race clean up crew, parking attendant.
