Everyone is affected by cancer in some form or another. WBC is partnering with the local chapter of the American Cancer Society and will support the event Making Strides, 10/26. More to come late Spring/early Summer.
Family Service of Champaign County is a private, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization. Founded in 1911, Family Service is the oldest private social service agency in Champaign County and have provided continuous service to families and individuals for more than 100 years. Their mission is supporting people across the generations by providing quality human services.
WBC member and Development Directory/Volunteer Manager for Family Service, Terry Goode (email@example.com), has selected a women that requires transportation from her kidney dialysis appoints to her home on Thursday afternoons. You must complete the training before you can volunteer, so contact Terry today!
United Way Power of the Purse (5/9) supports scholarship at Parkland College and United Way's Emergency Shelter for Families. We are going to take this lovely bag from WBC member, Patti Castor, 31 Gifts, and fill it with “Wine Down” items. Kristie Hayes has donated the first bottle of wine. We are looking for other donations to fill our purse related to winding down at the end of the day. Donations should be turned in by 4/12. Want to attend the event?
